Hello bookstagram and happy new year! 🥳 Today I finished my first book of the year and let me say this I didn’t manage to find out who the real murderer was until it all made sense. So I’m still under shock about this information 😂 Which also means that the athor managed to get me hooked until the very end. Book 2 has already been ordered at my favorite bookstore so can’t wait to read what’s next in Castle Knoll 🤭

Thanks to my secret santa at work for this great pick! This book really managed to keep me entertained during these past few days of festive season.

2025 was a mixed bag. Reading wasn't on point, but at least I have memories that I will remember forever 🥰.

After facing tough times with 2 losses in my family, we celebrated life with my wedding. Now I'm looking forward to 2026, hoping it'll be the year I dive back into books 🙈 and enjoy some well-deserved calm after no more wedding planning.

Hallo Bookstagram! 🥰Lange nicht mehr gesehen 😅 Ich bin allerdings jetzt hoffentlich aus der Leseflaute raus und wieder zurück.

Vor kurzem habe ich dieses wundervolle Kinderbuch gelesen und es hat mich mit 28 Jahren noch verzaubert 🤩
.
Über das Buch:
Bente hat an seinem ersten Schultag in der neuen Schule, einfach nur Pech. Das Unglück hat ihn wohl auch bis in die neue Schule verfolgt. Plötzlich erscheint eine magische Tür auf der "Tritt ein, wenn du dich traust!" geschrieben steht. Eigentlich möchte Bente ja nicht durch die Tür, aber seine Neugierde ist einfach stärker. Schnell erfährt er, dass etwas Gefährliches in der Schule lauert und er der einzige ist, der seine Mitschüler retten kann.

"Tritt ein, wenn du dich traust!" ist ein Wendeabenteuer und das neueste Buch von Thomas Brezina. Auch dieses Kinderbuch ist dem Autor sehr gut gelungen.

Hello Bookstagram and long time no see! 😅 I’m hopefully out of my reading slump and back full time! (Let’s see how long I’ll be able to keep up that promise 🙈)

I’ve just recently finished a book (finally!!) and I absolutely loved this middle grade adventure book about a little boy who discovers a new “magical” world and has to save his peers at school because danger lies ahead.
This was a great read and I enjoyed it so much. It was really marvellous 🤩

I want to get as much reading done as possible on my (well-deserved) 1-week break, and I’m happy that I seem to be back in a real reading mood 🤩

I finished reading Bryony and Roses this week, and I enjoyed reading it. I wouldn’t say that it’s my favourite “Beauty and the Beast” retelling, but it was pretty nice to read something else.

I’ve also quite enjoyed the sarcasm of the FMC. It was for sure hilarious 😂

Good evening Bookstagram, how are we feeling today ? 🥰
I’m definitely back in the reading game and out of the reading slump so yay 🥳 Which is why I’ve finished yet another book yesterday.
.
Twisted Hate is the third book in the Twisted series and like the 2 other books this one didn’t disappoint either. With this book we had the perfect enemies to lovers story and oh boy some of these scenes were 🥵 Be aware of the trigger warnings because this read was definitely not an easy one. Be it in terms of degradation or even the background story of Jules. So if you don’t feel at ease with some of the themes happening in the book, it might be better to just skip this one.
.
We also get to see a lot of the previous couples which was fun.
.
Twisted Hate wasn’t my favorite one in the series so it clearly didn’t manage to throw Twisted Games of its throne but I enjoyed reading Jules and Josh’s love story.

I’m officially back from my Amsterdam City trip, so it’s time to show you my read on this journey. On my train ride, I read the first book of the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn, and I immensely enjoyed my time. For those of you who know me personally, you probably know that I loved the TV adaptation with Shonda Rhimes as an executive producer, and I seriously can’t get enough of the Bridgerton Family😅
.
So, in this 1st book, we follow Daphne Bridgerton, the oldest girl in the family and the fourth child. She meets her brother’s best friend, Duke Simon Basset, and there is a spark between these two, even though it’s forbidden terrain. Simon made a promise to Daphne’s brother not to touch her, and he made a vow to himself to never get married. However, as the single young women on the ton want to become a duchess or, to be more precise, their mothers want this life for them, he needs an exit route soon. Daphne, on the other hand, doesn’t want to get married to a man of the ton who she won’t be able to love, and soon they decide to make a pact to fake their “relationship”. We all know by now that this arrangement will not work well, which means a lot of drama. And we are here for the drama! 😄
.
I especially love the relationship between the Bridgerton siblings, their witty banter and how everyone has each other's back. The relationship between Daphne and Simon is also exceptional, even though, towards the end, we’ve reached a very problematic passage, which is why this book wasn’t a 5-star read for me. However, the writing style was fluid, and I flew through the story. It was delightful to read, and if you are a fan of the TV show, you have to try this first book.

How are we doing today? I just finished the second book in the Dreamland Billionaires series and I quite enjoyed my reading journey 😍

The first book in this trilogy will still be my favourite 🤩 I just loved Rowan and Zahra are just my fave bookish couple! However, I must say that Declan and Iris aren’t too bad either. I especially loved their banter and how they got in this mess in the first place 😆 Let’s start the third book ASAP.

Ich hab gestern dieses ganz tolle Kinderbuch fertig gelesen und bin sehr zufrieden mit dem ersten Band einer Reihe über Drachen.
.
Ich war ja schon immer ein riesen Fan von Drachen und so konnte ich einfach nicht anders als mir dieses Buch bei Kindle Unlimited auszuleihen.
.
Die geheime Drachenschule liest sich sehr schnell und sehr schön gemachte Illustrationen befinden sich ebenfalls auf manchen Seiten.
Wir folgen in dieser Geschichte Henry, welcher bis dato noch nie an Drachen geglaubt hat. Doch auf einmal soll er ein Drachenreiter sein. So befindet sich Henry sehr schnell auf der Insel Sieben Feuer, wo sich die geheime Drachenschule befinden soll. Henry kann es kaum glauben, als er seinen ersten Drachen in echt sieht. Nur schade, dass sein Drache ihn irgendwie nicht akzeptieren möchte. Wird Henry es schaffen das Verrtrauen seines Drachens für sich zu gewinnen ?

I’ve really enjoyed this book and because I’ve been obsessed with the Lizzie Borden Files, it’s no surprise that I liked the setting of this book.

Synopsis:

Good morning, bookstagram! 🥰 I’m finally back with a post after how many weeks (even months, I guess)? Thank you reading Slump 😂

However, “City of Fallen Angels” has gotten me out of that crazy slump! And what a joy it has been to be back in this series 😍 I know I’m so late to the party, but this series is so intimidating. I don’t even know how many books exist in the Shadowhunter world. So, it is intimidating. But I want to catch up ASAP, as the next book has already been ordered.😁

My thoughts 💭:
So, “City of Fallen Angels” wasn’t my favourite book in the series, but I still enjoyed reading it. It felt so good to be back in the world and to see how they are evolving after the events of the third book. Surprisingly, I remembered most of it even though it had been years since I’d read City of Glass.
Those of you who’ve been following me on my blog since the beginning probably know that The Infernal Devices Trilogy is my favourite in the whole world and that I’ve never been much of a fan of the writing style in the “Mortal Instruments” series compared to the Infernal Devices one. However, in this book, it didn’t irritate me that much, and I quite enjoyed it even. I think that I tended to forget in the past that Clary and her friends are only teenagers who aren’t even 18 yet for most of them. So it is kind of normal for them to behave like 16-year-old kids, and the writing style has to adapt to this situation as well.
.
Can we talk about the ending, please? Can’t they be left alone for a second and live in peace? Is that too much to ask 😅 I’ve nearly got a heart attack 😂
