I’ve been thinking a lot about the Monsters of Verity Duology recently and just had to share these with you. I’ve read the Duology back in the day when the books first came out and I am still not over what happened. 😭 Why did you do this to me V.E Schwab? 😭😅

But on a more serious note: READ THIS DUOLOGY! Your heart will probably break but it is about monsters and their hunters so what else do you need to be happy? Definitely no heart and soul🤣 What are you waiting for? Go read it! and believe me you won’t be disappointed.

Key Change is the second instalment in the Hotel Bellweather Series. However you don’t have to read them in the published order. I haven’t read the first book in this series and had no trouble following the storyline! The chemistry between our love interest is instantly matching and soon Jo finds herself to become the nanny of her new Beau’s child. But nothing is as easy as it seems and new rules have to be applied.

I really liked the writing. It felt fluid and was very easy to follow. Both characters are adorable in their own way. The book is really steamy 🤭 and very fun. I can only recommend it. The beginning is a bit slow but afterwards you’re in for a ride 🥰

💭 My thoughts:

Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this historical fiction novel as much as I had hoped. The story never fully managed to capture my attention. I may have compared it a little too much to Bridgerton, but despite that, it was still a lovely read. I especially enjoyed Rafe and Sophie’s dynamic, and I thought the writing style and pacing were both very solid.

Happy Release day to “The Fae Guardian” by @ellethrasherauthor 🥳 When you swipe to the right you will see two graphics that were premade by @behindthepagespa

I recently finished this wonderfully written romantasy, and I just couldn’t put my Kobo down while reading this story. We follow Princess Freija, the heir to the throne. For years, she was trained to be perfect, but then a threat to her life emerges, and everything changes. She is assigned a guard, and soon her image of herself starts to crack. Freija simply cannot resist her guard, but loving him is forbidden. Soon, she has to choose between an arranged marriage and her own wellbeing…
.
💭 The setting was absolutely beautiful, as was the writing style. While reading The Fae Guardian, I felt like I was a character in the book, and I could vividly visualise the scenes. The witty banter between Freija and Halvar was entertaining as hell, and I just couldn’t stop smirking 🤭
.
This book also has some plot twists that leave you on the edge of your seat, including one major twist that I saw coming but still enjoyed anyway. The pacing was perfectly done, and I flew through the book.
.
The only thing that makes me sad is that it’s a standalone 😭 But apparently, there are other fae books by Elle Thrasher out in the world, so I’ll get over it 😂

Yesterday I posted a review of “Dear Enemy” (link in bio) on the blog and today it’s time to share it with the Booksta bubble.

💭 Delilah and Macon absolutely hate each other since childhood. Delilah couldn’t have been happier about the fact that her sister Samantha wasn’t in a relationship with Macon anymore because now she didn’t have to see him anymore. Unfortunately her sister messed up and now Delilah has to step in in order to pay her sister’s debt. Which means moving in with Macon and working as his personal chef. Hell is going to break loose. Or could it be that both parties are mutually attracted to each other?
.
I did have my troubles getting into the story. However after a few chapters Delilah managed to convince me to continue reading it 😅 and am I glad that I didn’t DNF “Dear Enemy “ because I might have just found a new auto-buy author. Callihan’s writing style is great and the author just had a way to write the banter between both protagonists that I just couldn’t stop laughing during those scenes. I absolutely loved Delilah 🤩

The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden is the second book that I’ve read by this author and again I wasn’t disappointed. You could even say that these plot twists made me mad. 😭 Every time that I thought that I’ve figured out who the bad guy was, the author managed to prove me wrong 😅. So this book definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! I’m still not okay by how it ended 😂.

After facing tough times with 2 losses in my family, we celebrated life with my wedding. Now I'm looking forward to 2026, hoping it'll be the year I dive back into books 🙈 and enjoy some well-deserved calm after no more wedding planning.
