I haven’t read the first one in this series and I had no trouble at all to follow the story. Both books I’m reviewing in this series can be read as standalones.
“Tangled in Jasmine” delivers all the feelings and definitely had me hooked from the beginning. 😍
.
It is full of emotional tension and of course a messy history between our main characters. As the story is written in dual POV you will get to experience the heartbreak and their feelings even more.
.
I felt like I was part of the tour and secretly fell like a fangirl especially over the love story.
This was for sure nearly impossible to put down. 🤭
.
📚Amber eyes and alibis review:

The third book was even more of a rollercoaster. “Amber Eyes and Alibis” dives into trauma and the love between Jasmine, who was once a fangirl, and the rockstar Jonathan. In my opinion there was a lot of soulmate energy out there and their chemistry felt so real. This story really showed whether or not our main characters were meant for each other. Be ready for the spice 😜🤭

💭My thoughts:
I loved reading “Remember me” by KJ Pointer and was absolutely invested in Lotties and Jakes story 😍
The contrast between the introverted FMC and the very confident hockey star was done well. I also appreciated the fact that Jake never gave up on Lottie even when both of their worlds fell apart. He always showed up for her.

This book deals with a lot! It is an emotional rollercoaster dealing with the loss of parents, lots of grief and even panic attacks. So be aware of all of those things in case they might be triggering for you.
.
The writing was easy to get into, the chapters had the perfect length and it was quickly paced. I really flew through this. If you love a good and emotional sports romance between childhood best friends, the you should definitely give “Remember me” a try 🥰

💭 My thoughts:

I really enjoyed my time reading this great sapphic enemies to Lovers retelling and just couldn’t get enough of the story. I absolutely loved the setting of the book and the dark academia game came out strong!

“The Society for Soulless Girls” is the perfect horror read for Halloween that I can highly recommend if you loved “The Grimrose Girls” and “Jekyll & Hyde”.

I’ve just finished the first book in the Magnus Chase Series in german and it has been a great ride. It’s been a while since I’ve read a Rick Riordan book and I’ve noticed that I missed his writing style. So happy to be back!
.
Magnus Chase has lived on the streets for a couple of years and has survived by his wits. He finds out at some point that his uncle - whom his mother has warned him about - is looking for him, Magnus has to be smarter than his uncle but fails. His uncle is beginning to tell him about Norse history and a weapon that belongs to Magnus and has been lost for thousand years. Puzzle pieces are starting to fall into place but he hasn’t really the time to consider all of this because his city is under attack by a giant fire monster. He is forced to choose between his own life or the safety of thousands of innocent people.

I finished “This Book Kills” by Ravena Guron yesterday, and it’s been a thrilling journey.
.
This story follows Jess, a scholarship student at a prestigious school. A mysterious murder has happened on the school grounds, and unfortunately for Jess, she wrote a murder story before the student’s death, and everything she wrote down has happened to the murdered student. Now she becomes the murderer's target, will she manage to find the real killer before something terrible happens again?
.
I have to say that even though I managed to deduce the real killer early enough, the suspense stayed until the epilogue, and I still found myself engrossed by the storytelling. I enjoyed Guron’s writing style, and this will not be my last book from this author. If you like YA mystery with twists and turns, you must try “This Book Kills”. It’s worth it! 🥰

I’ve really enjoyed this book and because I’ve been obsessed with the Lizzie Borden Files, it’s no surprise that I liked the setting of this book.

Synopsis:

I recently finished this wonderfully written romantasy, and I just couldn’t put my Kobo down while reading this story. We follow Princess Freija, the heir to the throne. For years, she was trained to be perfect, but then a threat to her life emerges, and everything changes. She is assigned a guard, and soon her image of herself starts to crack. Freija simply cannot resist her guard, but loving him is forbidden. Soon, she has to choose between an arranged marriage and her own wellbeing…
.
💭 The setting was absolutely beautiful, as was the writing style. While reading The Fae Guardian, I felt like I was a character in the book, and I could vividly visualise the scenes. The witty banter between Freija and Halvar was entertaining as hell, and I just couldn’t stop smirking 🤭
.
This book also has some plot twists that leave you on the edge of your seat, including one major twist that I saw coming but still enjoyed anyway. The pacing was perfectly done, and I flew through the book.
.
The only thing that makes me sad is that it’s a standalone 😭 But apparently, there are other fae books by Elle Thrasher out in the world, so I’ll get over it 😂

Vor ein paar Minuten hab ich “Honesty” von Franzi Kopka gelesen und WTF 😳 ich hab dieses Buch so gesuchtet und einfach nicht genug davon bekommen!
Wir befinden uns in einer Welt, in der Lügen der Vergangenheit angehören und jeder nur die Wahrheit sagt. Emotionen werden ebenfalls nicht mehr geduldet, bzw. nur jene die einen unbedacht handeln lassen. Allerdings empfindet unsere Protagonistin Mae leider auch jene Emotionen welche sie eigentlich gar nicht mehr fühlen dürfte. So versucht Mae so gut sie kann nicht aufzufallen und vor allem nicht aufzufliegen, denn ihr Geheimnis ist lebensgefährlich. Wäre da nur nicht dieser attraktive Typ, der sie jedes Mal zur Weißglut bringt.

Hello bookstagram and happy new year! 🥳 Today I finished my first book of the year and let me say this I didn’t manage to find out who the real murderer was until it all made sense. So I’m still under shock about this information 😂 Which also means that the athor managed to get me hooked until the very end. Book 2 has already been ordered at my favorite bookstore so can’t wait to read what’s next in Castle Knoll 🤭

Ich hab gestern dieses ganz tolle Kinderbuch fertig gelesen und bin sehr zufrieden mit dem ersten Band einer Reihe über Drachen.
.
Ich war ja schon immer ein riesen Fan von Drachen und so konnte ich einfach nicht anders als mir dieses Buch bei Kindle Unlimited auszuleihen.
.
Die geheime Drachenschule liest sich sehr schnell und sehr schön gemachte Illustrationen befinden sich ebenfalls auf manchen Seiten.
Wir folgen in dieser Geschichte Henry, welcher bis dato noch nie an Drachen geglaubt hat. Doch auf einmal soll er ein Drachenreiter sein. So befindet sich Henry sehr schnell auf der Insel Sieben Feuer, wo sich die geheime Drachenschule befinden soll. Henry kann es kaum glauben, als er seinen ersten Drachen in echt sieht. Nur schade, dass sein Drache ihn irgendwie nicht akzeptieren möchte. Wird Henry es schaffen das Verrtrauen seines Drachens für sich zu gewinnen ?

Today I finished the second book in the “Twisted” series by Ana Huang and os far it’s definitely my favourite book in the series 😍

However with this book (same goes for all of the other ones) you need to pay attention to the trigger warnings. So if you’re triggered by child abuse and/or drug use (just to name a few) you have to be aware that those topics are mentioned in the book and not only once!

I’ve just finished « City of Lost Souls » by Cassandra Clare and I have mixed feelings about this one. For those of you who are following me on Goodreads you already know the rating that I gave this one: 3.5 🌟

This installment for sure took the story to an even more darker place and setting than the last book. We are capable of seeing the struggle when it comes to love and loyalty and also the consequences about pas choices. Yep, I’m eyeing Clary in regards of Jace. IYKYK. 😅
.
The pacing and writing however felt a bit odd for me though. I felt that this book dragged on and on and that it took so long before the real action kicked in. However the author still managed to catch me with the atmosphere and especially the banter!
.
In short this hasn’t been my favourite in the series but I still loved continuing my way through the series.

How are we doing today? I just finished the second book in the Dreamland Billionaires series and I quite enjoyed my reading journey 😍

The first book in this trilogy will still be my favourite 🤩 I just loved Rowan and Zahra are just my fave bookish couple! However, I must say that Declan and Iris aren’t too bad either. I especially loved their banter and how they got in this mess in the first place 😆 Let’s start the third book ASAP.
