Ich habe diese Reihe damals angefangen, als sie veröffentlicht wurde und habe sie geliebt 😍 So viel, dass ich Band 3 überhaupt erst nicht lesen wollte, da ich mit Ruby und James einfach nicht abschließen wollte. 😭
.
Save Us wollte ich genauso lieben wie seine beiden Vorgänger, leider war das nicht der Fall. Das Buch hat mir trotz allem gut gefallen, dennoch gab es für mich einfach viel zu viele Längen. Schlussendlich denke ich, dass zwei Bände komplett gereicht hätten, da nicht mehr viel neues in “Save Us” passiert ist. Lydia und ihre Tante Ophelia haben mir in diesem Band am besten gefallen und ich finde es ehrlich gesagt etwas schade, dass Lydia keine eigene Geschichte bzw. kein eigenes Buch bekommen hat. Da gibt es sicherlich noch etwas Potenzial 😁

Monas Schreibstil hat mir wie immer gefallen und ich werde auch weiterhin ihre restlichen Werke lesen.

I’m officially back from my Amsterdam City trip, so it’s time to show you my read on this journey. On my train ride, I read the first book of the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn, and I immensely enjoyed my time. For those of you who know me personally, you probably know that I loved the TV adaptation with Shonda Rhimes as an executive producer, and I seriously can’t get enough of the Bridgerton Family😅
.
So, in this 1st book, we follow Daphne Bridgerton, the oldest girl in the family and the fourth child. She meets her brother’s best friend, Duke Simon Basset, and there is a spark between these two, even though it’s forbidden terrain. Simon made a promise to Daphne’s brother not to touch her, and he made a vow to himself to never get married. However, as the single young women on the ton want to become a duchess or, to be more precise, their mothers want this life for them, he needs an exit route soon. Daphne, on the other hand, doesn’t want to get married to a man of the ton who she won’t be able to love, and soon they decide to make a pact to fake their “relationship”. We all know by now that this arrangement will not work well, which means a lot of drama. And we are here for the drama! 😄

I especially love the relationship between the Bridgerton siblings, their witty banter and how everyone has each other's back. The relationship between Daphne and Simon is also exceptional, even though, towards the end, we’ve reached a very problematic passage, which is why this book wasn’t a 5-star read for me. However, the writing style was fluid, and I flew through the story. It was delightful to read, and if you are a fan of the TV show, you have to try this first book.

Heute hab ich mal einen anderen Content für euch. Bookhauls gab es jetzt genug 🤣.
Vor kurzem hab ich den 2.ten Teil einer Kinder Fantasy Reihe beendet und war wieder ein mal ganz begeistert von der Geschichte. Es handelt sich hier um “Die Verlorene Rezeptur” aus der Zuckermeister Reihe von Tanja Voosen. Ich fand diesen Band sogar noch spannender und musste richtig mitfiebern. Ich kann diese Reihe einfach nur empfehlen 🥰 und das nicht nur den 9-jährigen. Auch ein älteres Kind oder ein Erwachsener kann sein Glück hier finden. Ich kann es kaum erwarten das nächste Buch zu lesen😍.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Monsters of Verity Duology recently and just had to share these with you. I’ve read the Duology back in the day when the books first came out and I am still not over what happened. 😭 Why did you do this to me V.E Schwab? 😭😅

I want to get as much reading done as possible on my (well-deserved) 1-week break, and I’m happy that I seem to be back in a real reading mood 🤩

I finished reading Bryony and Roses this week, and I enjoyed reading it. I wouldn’t say that it’s my favourite “Beauty and the Beast” retelling, but it was pretty nice to read something else.

I’ve also quite enjoyed the sarcasm of the FMC. It was for sure hilarious 😂

I’m definitely back in the reading game and out of the reading slump so yay 🥳 Which is why I’ve finished yet another book yesterday.

Twisted Hate is the third book in the Twisted series and like the 2 other books this one didn’t disappoint either. With this book we had the perfect enemies to lovers story and oh boy some of these scenes were 🥵 Be aware of the trigger warnings because this read was definitely not an easy one. Be it in terms of degradation or even the background story of Jules. So if you don’t feel at ease with some of the themes happening in the book, it might be better to just skip this one.
.
We also get to see a lot of the previous couples which was fun.
.
Twisted Hate wasn’t my favorite one in the series so it clearly didn’t manage to throw Twisted Games of its throne but I enjoyed reading Jules and Josh’s love story.

The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden is the second book that I’ve read by this author and again I wasn’t disappointed. You could even say that these plot twists made me mad. 😭 Every time that I thought that I’ve figured out who the bad guy was, the author managed to prove me wrong 😅. So this book definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! I’m still not okay by how it ended 😂.

💭 Bloodstone is a story full of archaeology, hidden societies, and treasure hunts, where our FMC is being hunted by Nazis. It’s also a historical romance/fantasy fiction novel.

Mel, our FMC, is suddenly thrown into a dangerous hunt involving dark ancient magic, fascists, and secrets connected to her past.

I absolutely loved the setting and the action scenes. I also liked that the romance was a true slow burn and didn’t become the sole focus of the book.

The only part I didn’t enjoy as much was the pacing of the story itself. Personally, I found it a bit slow at times, but that’s just my own perspective.

💭Comme prévu, ce livre est devenu un vrai coup de cœur ❤️
Je ne savais pas que c’était la suite d’un autre livre de l’autrice, mais pour être honnête, je n’ai pas eu de difficulté à suivre l’histoire, puisqu’il met en avant un autre personnage principal.

J’ai beaucoup aimé les différents points de vue, ainsi que les timelines alternatives. Cette histoire est vraiment émouvante, entre les hauts et les bas que traversent Liz et les autres personnages de « Ce que les étoiles doivent à la nuit ».

Je ne voulais même pas que cette belle histoire s’arrête, tant j’ai aimé découvrir le parcours de Liz et la voir évoluer ✨

Dommage que je n’aie pas pu goûter ce qu’elle a préparé tout au long de l’histoire 😜

Today I’m back with a bookish review as you can see above 🥰 I had lots of fun reading this book and really enjoyed my time.

A Taste of Limoncello was such an addictive read. It’s told in dual POV and tells us how Ava and Dax really feel, especially about each other 😜

This story strikes a nice balance between sweet and spicy and you can really feel the tension between our two MCs. As the story was partially set in Italy, the author also managed to make the whole reading experience feel like an escape from reality.

If you’re looking for something that’s sweet and spicy at the same time I can only recommend reading « A taste of Limoncello » 🍋
