📚 Recently finished reading 📚
.

Hello Bookstagram 🥰 I’ve recently finished a book in the Shadowhunterworld by Cassandra Clare and I absolutely want to keep up with this series. Seriously, why did I start so late with my journey?! Shame on me!

But to redeem myself in my own eyes, I’ve bought another book in the series. This is more of a companion novel and I’m so thrilled to read it (hopefully) soon 🤭

Happy Release day to “The Fae Guardian” by @ellethrasherauthor 🥳 When you swipe to the right you will see two graphics that were premade by @behindthepagespa
.
I recently finished this wonderfully written romantasy, and I just couldn’t put my Kobo down while reading this story. We follow Princess Freija, the heir to the throne. For years, she was trained to be perfect, but then a threat to her life emerges, and everything changes. She is assigned a guard, and soon her image of herself starts to crack. Freija simply cannot resist her guard, but loving him is forbidden. Soon, she has to choose between an arranged marriage and her own wellbeing…
.
💭 The setting was absolutely beautiful, as was the writing style. While reading The Fae Guardian, I felt like I was a character in the book, and I could vividly visualise the scenes. The witty banter between Freija and Halvar was entertaining as hell, and I just couldn’t stop smirking 🤭
.
This book also has some plot twists that leave you on the edge of your seat, including one major twist that I saw coming but still enjoyed anyway. The pacing was perfectly done, and I flew through the book.
.
The only thing that makes me sad is that it’s a standalone 😭 But apparently, there are other fae books by Elle Thrasher out in the world, so I’ll get over it 😂

Hello bookstagram and happy new year! 🥳 Today I finished my first book of the year and let me say this I didn’t manage to find out who the real murderer was until it all made sense. So I’m still under shock about this information 😂 Which also means that the athor managed to get me hooked until the very end. Book 2 has already been ordered at my favorite bookstore so can’t wait to read what’s next in Castle Knoll 🤭

Thanks to my secret santa at work for this great pick! This book really managed to keep me entertained during these past few days of festive season.

📚E-ARC Review📚 @lunaliterary.management
Dance for Me by @de.renauthor
.
📖About the book:
The curtains are drawn. The stage is set. Are you ready to play?

🌟Harper
Cirque is the legacy I will leave behind, a playground for the grown and elite. As the contortionists bend and costumes are shed, a new threat builds from within, aiming to lead Cirque down a dark path and destroy my name in the process. In a world that feeds off blurred lines and questionable morals, I only have one rule in my club that garners no mercy: no drugs. Ever. Now someone is using the one thing I fight against and mocking me with it, exploiting Cirque as a front and my name as a scapegoat. The evidence against me is stacking up and I can’t afford to lose focus now, can’t afford to show any weakness. Then he walked in, challenging my solitude, and breathing life into desires I long ago buried. I can’t afford the distraction, but the more I let him in, the farther I can feel my mask slipping away.

🌟Colton
It was only supposed to be a job, nothing more than a means to an end. Everything I knew about the cold, ruthless club owner should have been enough to keep me far away, but when a twist of fate alters my job description, I find myself constantly at her side. Promises of keeping my head down and staying out of trouble are forgotten memories as my desire for her grows with my need to protect her. I need to find out who is impersonating Harper and stop the threats against her, but more than anything, I just need her. I play with her patience, and she plays with my self-control, each smile and touch pulling me further on stage. It was only supposed to be a job, but the further I’m dragged into her world, the harder it is to remember I was never meant to be a player in this act.

💭My thoughts:
I loved reading “Remember me” by KJ Pointer and was absolutely invested in Lotties and Jakes story 😍
The contrast between the introverted FMC and the very confident hockey star was done well. I also appreciated the fact that Jake never gave up on Lottie even when both of their worlds fell apart. He always showed up for her.
.
This book deals with a lot! It is an emotional rollercoaster dealing with the loss of parents, lots of grief and even panic attacks. So be aware of all of those things in case they might be triggering for you.
.
The writing was easy to get into, the chapters had the perfect length and it was quickly paced. I really flew through this. If you love a good and emotional sports romance between childhood best friends, the you should definitely give “Remember me” a try 🥰
