• Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (J.K. Rowling) – reread

  I don’t think that I have to write much about this book. Apart from the fact that I love this series so much. I can’t even thank J.K. Rowling enough for writing those magical books for us. They are my all-time favourite series in the whole world! (not kidding)
  
  It was a joy for me to reread this book and for the first time in English. I only read Harry Potter (at least 10 times) in German. So I’m glad that I got the whole seven books in English from my boyfriend last year. In the fourth book of the series, we are following a 14-year-old Harry Potter into his 4th year at Hogwarts. Harry gets the chance to see the final of the Quidditch World Cup in 1994 between Ireland and Bulgaria. However, the joy of the Quidditch Match is quickly overshadowed because of a mass attack on muggles (non wizards and witches). Soon after the attack, the next school year is about to start and for Harry a whole new adventure is about to start. The Triwizard Tournament is going to be held at Hogwarts and two other schools (Beauxbâtons & Durmstrang) are guests in the Scottish castle. Only 17-year-old students or older are allowed to take part in this competition. However, young Harry, like his fellow mates, dream about being one of the school champions and winning the Tournament. To the surprise of everyone, Harry’s name is drawn. Who put his name in the Goblet? Harry and his friends will have to find out.

• Library of Souls – Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children #3 (Ransom Riggs)

  

  The last book I read was also the last book in a trilogy, which I really liked a lot. And I have to say that Library of Souls is definitely my favourite one in the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children Trilogy.
  I loved this book but nonetheless I had my difficulties with it during the first few chapters. I couldn’t get into the book and could only read up to one chapter a day. Which isn’t a lot. Even if the chapters were very long. Despite the few difficulties I had, I still enjoyed the read and kind of felt a little bit sad that this thrilling fantasy trilogy came to an end. I also appreciated the fact, that the author put those peculiar pictures in the three books. It made the story more lively. I even found myself reading faster to get to the next picture. I am not going to write much about the third book, because otherwise I’m probably going to spoil some important things for those of you who did not read the Trilogy. So I’m going to make a summary of the first book.
  The Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children follows a 16-year-old boy named Jacob who, after his grandfather’s death, feels different from his family, and he slips into a depression. Jacob discovers some old letters and strange pictures from his grandfather Abraham. He starts to ask himself questions about the meaning of the photographs. It is then that he decides to go to an island in Wales. This journey is also strongly suggested by his psychiatrist. There he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and he gets his hand on  photographs that looks like those of his grandfather. While sneaking around, Jacob got caught by a girl named Emma Bloom. Even if she looks like a normal girl, she is not.  Emma can do something very peculiar, like the rest of her friends. During his journey, Jacob discovers that Abraham has not been a lunatic like everybody believed him to be, and Jake has the same ability as his grandfather. Which he doesn’t know until it is being revealed to him on a dangerous journey.

  I’m pretty satisfied with this Wrap Up because I’ve read books that I liked a lot. Despite having read only two books!
