Hello everyone!

So I know I’ve said that I would post discussion posts every week. But the last few weeks were all planned with other content or completely booked because of university and as discussion posts take time to write I prefer to take my time to write something good and not something full of crap! (Which doesn’t mean that this post won’t be full of crap. You know how some people can’t be happy with the work they did? Yep, that’s me!) However, I will stop writing my introduction and without further ado let’s start with this weeks topic!

Let's talk!

How many books should we read at a time? No one really has an answer to this question and neither do I! I’d simply say that it depends on the person. Let’s take a Person A and a Person B.

Person A. can only read one book at a time because he/she can find it distracting to read more than one book.

Person B., however, can read more than one book. Main reasons are probably because they find it interesting to read different genres at the same time. One moment B is trapped in a fantastic fantasy world the other moment B finds himself/herself in a totally bloody murder investigation.

And then you have me! People like me. These people have to read multiple books at a time and not only two books. No! That would be totally uncool. They read at least more  five books and get overwhelmed with all these stories and they can’t really decide which of these five books to continue reading so they start a sixth because they don’t want to take that big decision and then giphyEverything gets out of control and that my dear readers, is the story of my life! And now a more serious explanation to these kinds of readers. I can only speak for myself: I have to read so many books because I rarely read a book in one sitting and if I feel that I’m trapped in only one book (even if it’s fucking great which happens 98% of the time) I will probably not pick it up the next day. I have to pick up other books because otherwise, I get bored. Does this even make any sense?

SO NOW after having explained three types of people (there are more than three!), we are going to conclude this topic in a more serious way! There is no right or wrong! You can read as many books at a time as you wish! You can also read only one book if you prefer it that way. You have to choose your way. The way you feel comfortable with. Reading isn’t about stressing (only the textbooks are there to freak you out). Reading is relaxing. You are emerging into different worlds or deducing who is the murder in a cool and interesting thriller. It doesn’t matter what you read, how many books you read or even how many pages you read. It is your choice and don’t let anyone tell you what to do!

However, I want to know your opinion on this! Do you read one book or do you read more books? And what kind of reader are you? Before I forget, do you think that I should write longer discussion posts? Or is this length okay for you? Please let me know in the comments below!
