Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! How are you all today? I hope good!
Today is the day. Well yesterday to be more precise. Yesterday was the end of the OWLs Readathon and I finished mine a few days ago. If you follow me on Twitter you saw every update that I did for the Readathon. If you don’t follow me the handle is @phanniebookworm.
In case you forgot it, I aimed to become a Magizoologist and I did it. I’m so proud of myself! Last year I totally failed because my TBR was way too ambitious and I was way too stuborn to make changes. Hence why I failed the OWLs last year but this year I set a very low goal and I’m glad that one of my favourite magical careers allowed me to only read 4 books. I have however read other books as well this month. I’m not sure if you saw my wrap-up but I read a total of 12 books and I hope that some of these 8 additional books will work for one of the other courses.
And now without further ado, let’s start with the wrap-up. But before that here is my TBR so that you can see all the books that I wanted to read for this challenge.

Emoji Key:
✅ – read
❌ – not read
🦉 Care of Magical Creatures – Land animal on the cover
Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee ✅ – Review
🦉 Charms – Age-line: read an adult work
Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James ✅
🦉 Herbology – Plant on a cover
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson ❌
To Best the Boys by Mary Weber ✅
🦉 Potions: Next ingredient: Sequel
Wildcard by Marie Lu ✅
Do you think that I managed to read other books that fit the challenges? We’ll find that out together!
🦉 Ancient Runes – Retelling ❌
🦉 Arithmancy – Work written by more than one author ❌
🦉 Astronomy – « Star » in the title❌
🦉 Defense Against the Dark Arts – starts with an R❌
🦉 Divination – set in the future ✅
Paper Girls, Volume 2 by Brian K.Vaughan
🦉 History of Magic – published at least 10 years ago❌
🦉 Muggle Studies – Contemporary ✅
You by Caroline Kepnes
🦉 Transfiguration – Sprayed edges or red cover❌
I read a book but I counted it already for Herbology. To Best the Boys had sprayed edges and none of my books had a complete red cover. So no I failed that prompt!
In the end I managed to get 2 additional OWLs which makes it a total of 6. Not that bad if you ask me. At least I can do the career I want later on but before the career I still have to get my NEWTs afterwards. But these will be later on!

And that was everything for the OWLs Readathon of 2019. What about you? Were you successful or did you fail? Please let me know in the comments below!
