Hi everyone and welcome back to the blog! How are you all today? I hope that you’re all staying safe and that you’re able to read a lot during these difficult times!
Today I am finally back with a wrap-up for you guys. I don’t know how long I didn’t do any of these but I suppose that it has been quite a while ago. And today I’m also showing you all the books I’ve read for my OWLs in order to become an Auror. If you forgot what I planned on reading then you can take a look at my OWLs 2020 TBR.
Last year I successfully managed to become a Magizoologist and this year I wanted to change things a bit. I can’t always choose the same career now, can I?
And now without further ado, let’s start with the actual post.

📚 – #1 – We Didn’t Ask for This by Adi Alsaid | ebook | review copy* | 304 pages
I got the opportunity to read this book and it was simply amazing. I gave it full points. 5 out of 5 and I would have given it more if I could have. The only thing I had to criticize: It was probably a bit too extreme. But then again, who am I to judge? In case you haven’t read my review, here is the link to it.
📚 – #2 – Beast Heart by Kyle Richardson | ebook | review copy* | 280 pages
This is also a book that was sent to me in exchange for an honest review and while I found it confusing from time to time, I was still glad that I was able to read it. This one got only a 3-star rating from me but I’m sure that the rest of the series will convince me even more. I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel. Did you read my review?
📚 – #3 – The One by Kiera Cass | ebook | 323 pages
So this one is the first book I’ve read for the OWLs Readathon and I finished it in less than 24 hours. I’m not even kidding. I don’t know how I did that but all the books in this series were finished in a day. This series is also one of my guilty pleasures. I can’t explain why I love these books so much but I do. So it’s no surprise that I gave it a 5-star rating!
Now you’re probably wondering which prompt this was. I’ve read this novel for the Charms prompt: Read a book with a white cover.
📚 – #4 – Nimona by Noelle Stevenson | audiobook
This was like so much fun! A 5-star read for sure. I never thought that listening to a graphic novel without seeing the illustration would be such a great reading experience but it was. I’m so glad that I found it on Scribd. And now I will buy the graphic novel so that I can have the full experience. Isn’t that great?
📚 – #5 – The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black | paperback | 300 pages
OMG guys! OMG! I finally finished this series and my bookworm heart is bleeding. I don’t want it to be done. It was such a cool world to explore and I will miss Jude and Cardan a lot. Who would have said that I would ever miss Cardan? Well I wouldn’t have. But here I am crying about the end of a series where I hated one of the characters. We bookworms are such strange creatures! The Queen of Nothing also got a 5-star rating from me.
📚 – #6 – Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire | audiobook
I’m not sure what to think about this one because I don’t remember a single thing! And I’ve finished it 2 weeks ago so honestly not that long ago. While I remembered everything of Nimona, there’s nothing triggering me on Every Heart a Doorway. Anyone else having the same problem with audiobooks sometimes?
📚 – #7 – The Mystery of the Blue Jar by Agatha Christie | audiobook
This is the second book that I’ve finished for the OWLs and I loved this one as well. No wonder it’s an Agatha Christie novel after all. I originally planned on reading another book by the same author but I didn’t find it anywhere. The prompt was for the Potions Class where I had to read a short book.
📚 – #8 – Flugangst 7A by Sebastian Fitzek | paperback | 394 pages
This is a German psycho thriller and I did like it a lot. It was gory at some places but that’s what a good thriller is about. 5 out of 5 from me!
📚 – #9 – Infinity Son by Adam Silvera | paperback | 368 pages
Another book for the OWLs. I originally planned to read I am Malala but I didn’t find it anywhere either. Sadly! Because I want to read that book. This was for the Herbology class where I had to read a book that started with I.
Infinity Son was a mixture of I don’t like it and I like it. Do you know what I mean? It was so strange. I had my problems with the mixture of contemporary and fantasy. In the beginning I was not enjoying it that much but somewhere at the middle of the book it got very interesting and I’m glad that I didn’t DNF it. I get it however why other people didn’t like it. 4 stars out of 5.
📚 – #10 – Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater | audiobook
Another book for the OWLs. This time the book needed to include shape shifting and you might have guessed the class already. It’s Transfiguration of course.
I liked this one. Not as much as I thought I would but I liked it.
📚 – #11 – The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware | ebook | 341 pages
The last book I’ve read for the OWLs was The Woman in Cabin 10 and unfortunately I didn’t like it at all. Which is too bad!
In total, I’ve read 11 books this month and I honestly have no clue how I managed to do that. But I’m so happy that I managed to read that much during these stressful times. What about you? How many books have you read? Please let me know in the comments below.
*A review copy of these books were sent to me in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own!

I read Infinity Son at the start of the year and thought I’d love it but wasn’t a fan at all unfortunately!
