Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! How are you all? I hope good.

I am back with a Down the TBR post and for the second time in a row, right on time!

The Down the TBR meme was created by Lia (Lost in a Story).

You’re probably wondering how this works but it’s actually pretty easy:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 or 10 books (or even more if you’re feeling motivated enough). And of course, if you’re doing this weekly you’ll start where you left off the week before.
  • Read the synopses of the books.
  • Decide: keep it or toss it!

And now without further ado, let’s do this!

Last time on my shelf – 1513
This time on my shelf – 1516 (I’ve bought some books. That’s why the amount isn’t the same anymore)

#1 – The Surrogate by Tania Carver – Link to Goodreads

To be honest, I’ve no interest at all. So bye bye!

Decision – GO

#2 – Wintersong by S.Jae-Jones – Link to Goodreads

Ah, this sounds so intriguing! I have to read it!

Decision – KEEP

#3 – The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey – Link to Goodreads

I don’t think that this will be a book that I’ll like.

Decision – GO

#4 – The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski – Link to Goodreads

I’m not sure about this one either, but it will have to go. At least for now.

Decision – GO

#5 – The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born by Robin Furth – Link to Goodreads

I haven’t even read the original story by King yet. So I’ll delete this one from the list. I’ll add it again once I’ve read the series by Stephen King.

Decision – GO

#6 – The Bachman Books by Richard Bachman – Link to Goodreads

This is written by Stephen King himself. So it has to be good, right? But I’m not that interested in it. So it leaves as well.

Decision – GO

#7 – Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi – Link to Goodreads

This will have to go as well!

Decision – GO

#8 – The Regulators by Richard Bachman – Link to Goodreads

I have no particular interest in reading this one in the future. It has to go.

Decision – GO

#9 – Royce Rolls by Margaret Stohl – Link to Goodreads

It sounds very intriguing and because I’m a sucker for reality TV I need to give Royce Rolls a try.

Decision – KEEP

#10 – Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty – Link to Goodreads

I’m conflicted but the dont-want-to-read part is winning this round.

Decision – GO

#11 – The Professor by Robert Bailey – Link to Goodreads

Nope! This goes too.

Decision – GO

#12 – Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon – Link to Goodreads

I want to read this one. It stays.

Decision – KEEP

#13 – The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr – Link to Goodreads

I found the synopsis intriguing the first time around. But now it doesn’t sound like my thing at all.

Decision – GO

#14 – Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie – Link to Goodreads

I have to read this one. It stays!

Decision – KEEP

#15 – Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh – Link to Goodreads

It’s a book I absolutely want to read. Therefore, it gets to stay!

Decision – KEEP

#16 – Everland by Wendy Spinale – Link to Goodreads

I have mixed feelings about this one. I think, however, that it deserves a try. Let’s hope that it won’t disappoint.

Decision – KEEP

#17 – Every Falling Star by Sungju Lee & Susan McClelland – Link to Goodreads

This is an important read and I have to read it at least once in my life.

Decision – KEEP

#18 – Girl Mans Up by M-E Girard – Link to Goodreads

I’ve heard some great things about the book when it came up. So it will stay.

Decision – KEEP

#19 – Firstlife by Gena Showalter – Link to Goodreads

It will have to go. I’ve no interest in this anymore.

Decision – GO

#20 – History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera – Link to Goodreads

I liked his other books so it gets to stay!

Decision – KEEP

Total number of books kept – 9
