Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! How are you all doing today? I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times.

Wow, who am I? Three posts in three days? This last happened a long time ago. Another thing that happened a long time ago was a monthly wrap-up. But I’m finally back after a long time non-announced hiatus and therefore I’m back with a wrap-up.

November was also the month of NaNoWrimo, and I am so happy that I managed to write 33K Words. It’s not the 50K but I’m still happy with the amount of words I’ve written in just 30 days. How about you? Did anyone participate in this contest? I would love to hear it in the comments below!

And now without further ado, let’s start with this post!

📚 – #5 – Wie die Ruhe vor dem Sturm by Brittany C.Cherry | Chances #1 | ebook (Buddy read) | LYX | 437 pages | 5 bookish stars | Review to come (bilingual)

Goodreads Synopsis: (Eleanor & Grey)

Greyson East left his mark on me.

As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near.

Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again.

When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined.

I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man.

The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain.

When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only.
He made me promise not to try to get to know him, not to recall the memories I’d treasured all this time.

But, sometimes, I saw the boy I’d once known in his stormy eyes. I saw the Greyson who smiled and laughed, who had stolen a young girl’s heart, and there was no doubt in my mind that this boy was worth fighting for.

I was given a second chance with the one who’d left his mark on me. All I hoped was that somehow I’d leave a mark on his soul, too.

With his tousled brown hair, tattoos and irresistible British accent, Hardin is undeniably attractive but completely different to what Tessa is used to.

He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear without a word. He pushes her away again and again, but every time she pushes back she winds up being pulled in further still.

Will Tessa risk everything for someone she can’t trust?

📚 – #8 – Obsidienne by Jennifer L.Armentrout | Lux #1 | Paperback | J’ai Lu | 380 pages | 5 bookish stars | Review to come (bilingual)

Goodreads Synopsis: (Obsidian)

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.
