Dies ist mein erstes Buch von Renée Carlino und ich hab es geliebt. Der Schreibstil war flüssig und das Buch ließ sich schnell lesen. Wenn ich gekonnt hätte, dann hätte ich das Buch in einem Tag verschlungen, aber da hatte mein Studium wohl auch noch ein Wörtchen mitzureden.

Ich fand Kate einfach nur super. An manchen Stellen musste ich lachen und an einigen hätte ich fast ein paar Tränen vergossen. Jamie hat mich ebenfalls sofort in seinen Bann gezogen und seine Labrador Dame, war ja einfach nur der Hammer. Aber das sag ich bei jedem Hund in Büchern. Ich liebe Hunde einfach viel zu sehr und finds immer wieder super, wenn ein Hund in einem Buch auftaucht. Das war also ein kleiner Pluspunkt für mich. Alles wurde so authentisch rübergebracht, dass ich dachte ich wäre eine Figur des Romans. Ich konnte mir alles super vorstellen.

Auf den Plottwist war ich nicht vorbereitet und er wurde unfassbar gut geschrieben. Ich war baff und das passiert mir bei Büchern ehrlich gesagt selten, da ich meistens schon vor dem Twist weiß was passiert.

“Wenn du bei mir bist” ist ein sehr toller Liebesroman, den man unbedingt an einem ruhigen Nachmittag lesen sollte. Ich kann das Buch einfach nur empfehlen und freue mich schon auf den nächsten Roman von Renée Carlino.

This is my first book by Renée Carlino and I have to say that it did not disappoint. I loved every single reading minute. I would have even read it in one sitting but all the work I had to do for uni wouldn’t have been happy if I’d have read this one in a sitting.

I loved Kate. She was an amazing character and I would love to read a second book with her as the main character. I guess this won’t happen. Otherwise, I would have heard of a second book already. Jamie was a great character as well, and I especially loved his dog. I’m always a fan of dogs appearing in books and this lovely little lady was amazing. Everything has been perfectly described, and I even thought at some point that I was a part of the book. I imagined everything, and now I just want to be in Napa Valley. 

I wasn’t prepared for the plot twist, and it made me speechless. In a good way! I never thought that this would happen and the fact that it took me by surprise made me love the book even more. Seriously if you haven’t read it by now you need to! 

“Nowhere but Here” is the perfect read for a chill afternoon and perfect for every romance fan.
