Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog!
I have another exciting post for you today as I’m finally going to dig into the Popsugar Reading Challenge. I try to do it every year and every year I fail. Remember when I told you that I wanted 2022 to be my year? Well, yeah this Reading Challenge will be one of the steps to make 2022 my year.
And now without further ado, let’s talk about this Challenge!

First of all can we talk about how pretty that template is? If you haven’t seen it yet you definitely need to check out their page over at Popsugar. It is gorgeous! Which makes me realize that I’m really a sucker for pretty things. Unfortunately!
📚 #1 – book published in 2022 | A few books could work for this prompt. I might read Gallant by V.E.Schwab, Book of Night by Holly Black or The Maid by Nita Prose. Just remember this is a kind-of TBR. I might end up reading something entirely else!
📚 #2 – A book set on a plane, train or cruise ship | The Woman In Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware sounds perfect for this.
📚 #3 – A book about or set about a nonpatriarchal society | This is kind of a difficult one but maybe The Mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrave?
📚 #4 – A book with a tiger on the cover or title | The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo
📚 #5 – A sapphic book | A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee, Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers or The Henna Wars by Adiba Jaigirdar.

📚 #13 – A book set in the 1980’s | The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe
📚 #14 – A book with cutlery on the cover or in the title | A Death in the Small Hours by Charles Finch
📚 #15 – A book by a Pacific Islander author | The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig
📚 #16 – A book about witches | I’m always for a book about witches. Nothing is better, right? There are also a few books on my TBR that match this prompt. All of Us Villains by Amanda Foody, Gilded by Marissa Meyer and Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco all match this amazing prompt.
📚 #17 – A book becoming a TV series or movie in 2022 | I’m very bad at keeping up which books are being adapted into a series or movie but I found a few that could work for me. Where the Crawdads sings by Delia Owens, Death on Nile by Agatha Christie or the Wonder by Emma Donoghue. Just to mention a few.
📚 #18 – A romance novel by a BIPOC author | Love in Color by Bolu Babalola
📚 #19 – A book that places during your favorite season (Atumn) | White Smoke by Tiffany D.Jackson
📚 #20 – A book whose title begins with the last letter of your previous read | This will be chosen once I find a book matching the prompt or when I’m ready to read a book for this prompt.
📚 #21 – A book about a band or musical group | XOXO by Axie Oh
📚 #22 – A book with a character on the ace spectrum | The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
📚 #23 – A book with a recipe on it | I have literally no idea, lol.
📚 #24 – A book you can read in one sitting | This one will also be decided at a later point.

📚 #30 – A book with the name of a boardgame in the title | Have no clue either.
📚 #31 – A book featuring a man-made disaster | See above, I still don’t know yet what to read for this category.
📚 #32 – A book with a quote from your favorite author on the cover or Amazon page | Will be decided once I have the book in question in my hands.
📚 #33 – A social-horror book | The Circle by Dave Eggers

There are also a few advanced prompts but I won’t to a « kinda » TBR for these. Is anyone else doing this reading challenge? Please let me know in the comments below!
