Hello everyone! Today I have some sort of weekly wrap-up post for you. Unfortunately, I haven’t finished any books unless you count the book I’ve finished on July 31st, but I did read a hell of a lot if you’re considering that I’m in some sort of slump.
And now, without further ado, let’s start!

Currently Reading
📚 #1 – Demain les chats by Bernard Werber | Les chats #1 | French Literature | Science Fiction | started on July 31st | on page 251/320 | Goodreads
I seriously don’t know what to think of this book. There are a few things that I absolutely don’t like, and now I’m angry at my self because I also have the sequel at home. I will finish this, and I’ll probably also read the sequel in the future, but the rating will be between 2 and 2.5 stars.
📚 #2 – Darf’s ein bisserl Mord sein? – Wahre Verbrechen by Franziska Singer | German Literature | True Crime, Non-Fiction | started on August 2nd | on page 103/200 | Goodreads
True Crime is like my second passion. I can’t stop listening to every single podcast about this particular topic, and so I’ve decided that I had to pick up some books as well. Unfortunately, I am a bit disappointed because all the cases (so far) are old ones from the late 1800s or early 20th century. But it is definitely not a bad book. I still hope for some recent and more interesting cases.
📚 #3 – Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson | A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder #2 | Contemporary, Mystery, Thriller, Young Adult | started on August 6th | on page 224/417 | Goodreads
I’ve finished the first book on July 31st and LOVED it! I couldn’t get enough of this series and so to no surprise I ordered the second book last week. Not only that, but I’ve read 224 pages in a matter of hours, and I will probably finish this novel by the middle of week 2. Usually second installments always suffer from the second book syndrome, but “Good Girl, Bad Blood” is probably even better than “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder”. You can count on me buying the third one as soon as I’m done with this one. Holy moly!

I will not mention the e-books and the audiobooks I’m currently reading/listening to because I have a certain reading system for these type of reading formats which is just way too difficult to explain. So you’ll only come across those once I’ve finished them.
You probably also noticed that so far, I’m only reading one book that’s also actually on my TBR for the month of August. Am I failing my goal already? Maybe not? The month is still young.
What about you? What did you read this past week? Please let me know in the comments below!
