Why am I so bad at keeping this page alive? I really need better organizational skills! I’m so sorry for the 11-month-long radio silence!! ๐Ÿ˜ณ Why am I like this?

I’ve been having my best reading month of the year so far. If you are following me on Bookstagram, you probably already know which books Iโ€™ve read. You also know how many I’ve read these past few months. I’ve actually been better on posting on Booksta than here. I don’t even know why.

So here’s the list of books I’ve read in June:

๐Ÿ“– #1 – Between the Lines by Olivia Hayle – Workplace Romance – New Adult – e-book (KU) – 472 pages – โญโญโญโญโญ

The mysterious stranger I spent an unforgettable night with is the billionaire who ruined my lifeโ€ฆ and now I have to live with him.

He’s all green eyes, mussed hair and a dirty mouth. Heโ€™s good at strip poker, and even better at what comes after.

Two weeks later, I walk into a meeting in LA with the subject of my next memoir… and itโ€™s him.

Aiden Hartman. My hot one-night-stand, and the billionaire owner of Titan Media, the company that ruined my life and made me change my name.

Now I need to spend two months at his side or risk losing my next contract. Living in his Bel-Air mansion, shadowing him daily, and writing his memoir.

Aiden invites me into his world of wealth. He brings me as his date to movie premieres and buys me expensive dresses. But he wonโ€™t tell me everything I need for the book.

We argue in his office, and I taunt him in bikinis by his pool. Itโ€™s a dangerous game weโ€™re playing, especially when Aiden offers me a deal too good to refuse.

Heโ€™ll spill all his secretsโ€ฆ if I tell him mine.

I really enjoyed my time with this one. The romance was so cute and I just loved their dynamic and of course Aiden. He is high on the bookish boyfriend list. Very high! But don’t worry Rhysand you haven’t been dethroned (yet!).

๐Ÿ“– #2 – The Serpent and the Wings of Night (Crowns of Nyaxia #1) by Carissa Broadbent – Vampire Fantasy Romance – New Adult – e-book (KU) – 537 pages – โญโญโญโญ

Human or vampire, the rules of survival are the same: never trust, never yield, and always โ€“ always โ€“ guard your heart.

The adopted human daughter of the Nightborn vampire king, Oraya carved her place in a world designed to kill her. Her only chance to become something more than prey is entering the Kejari: a legendary tournament held by the goddess of death herself.

But winning wonโ€™t be easy amongst the most vicious warriors from all three vampire houses. To survive, Oraya is forced to make an alliance with a mysterious rival.

Everything about Raihn is dangerous. He is a ruthless vampire, an efficient killer, an enemy to her fatherโ€™s crownโ€ฆ and her greatest competition. Yet, what terrifies Oraya most of all is that she finds herself oddly drawn to him.

But thereโ€™s no room for compassion in the Kejari. War for the House of Night brews, shattering everything that Oraya thought she knew about her home. And Raihn may understand her more than anyone โ€“ but their blossoming attraction could be her downfall, in a kingdom where nothing is more deadly than love.

The Serpent and the Wings of Night is the first book in a new series of heart-wrenching romance, dark magic, and bloodthirsty intrigue, perfect for fans of From Blood and Ash and A Court of Thorns and Roses.

I’ve finally finished this book. It took me ages and I don’t even know why because I really enjoyed reading it. Still, I just had some troubles getting into the story. Probably, I wasn’t in the right mindset when I started reading “The Serpent and the Wings of Night.” I’m just glad that I managed to finish it because it was a very great read!

๐Ÿ“– #3 – Mille questions ร  mon gynรฉco by Dr. Olivier Marpeau (๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท book) – Nonfiction guide by an OB-GYN – 271 pages

๐Ÿ“– #4 – The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa – Contemporary Romance – e-book – 359 pages – โญโญโญ

Mia Sosa delivers a sassy, steamy #ownvoices enemies-to-lovers novel, perfect for fans of Jasmine Guillory, Helen Hoang, and Sally Thorne!

A wedding planner left at the altar? Yeah, the irony isnโ€™t lost on Carolina Santos, either. But despite that embarrassing blip from her past, Linaโ€™s offered an opportunity that could change her life. Thereโ€™s just one hitchโ€ฆ she has to collaborate with the best (make that worst) man from her own failed nuptials.

Marketing expert Max Hartley is determined to make his mark with a coveted hotel client looking to expand its brand. Then he learns heโ€™ll be working with his brotherโ€™s whip-smart, stunningโ€”absolutely off-limitsโ€”ex-fiancรฉe. And she loathes him.

If they can nail their presentation without killing each other, theyโ€™ll both come out ahead. Except Max has been public enemy number one ever since he encouraged his brother to jilt the bride, and Linaโ€™s ready to dish out a little payback of her own.

Soon Lina and Max discover animosity may not be the only emotion creating sparks between them. Still, this star-crossed couple can never be more than temporary playmates because Lina isnโ€™t interested in falling in love and Max refuses to play runner-up to his brother ever again…

The main character was sassy AF and I’m here for it. Lina and Max had some great chemistry and this was really an okay read for me. Unfortunately their story didn’t make me swoon as much as I hoped.

๐Ÿ“– #5 – Think Outside the Boss (New York Billionaires #1) by Olivia Hayle – New Adult Workplace romance – e-book – 248 pages – โญโญโญโญ

Thinking outside the box resulted in the best night of my life.
Until I discover the man I spent it with is my new boss.

Attending a secret party where clothes are optional wasnโ€™t a life goal of mine. But when the exclusive invitation ends up in my mailbox by accidentโ€ฆ well. Who wouldn’t be curious? It’s not like I’m going to do anything.

The handsome stranger I meet has different plans. One glance across the crowded party, and an hour later we’re stretched out on silk. Our night together is glorious. No names and no regrets.

But Iโ€™d forgotten thereโ€™s always a price to pay for pleasure.

I find out the cost when I start my internship. Because who is the new venture capitalist CEO?

Tristan Conway, aka my handsome stranger. Powerful, determined, intriguing… and single. Oh, and he wants to see me in his office.

Thinking outside the box got me into this mess.
Now if I could just stop thinking about the boss…

I loved Olivia Hayle’s writing style so much that I just had to read another book by this author. And I wasn’t disappointed either! This time though I’ve read the German translation.

If you click on the covers, you’ll be redirected to the GR page.

In total I’ve read 5 books (only e-books I’m kinda shocked right now), 1887 pages. 3 English books, 1 French and 1 German book.

How about you? How many books did you read? Did we have anything in common?
