Hello, everyone!
My long awaited A Court Of Thorns and Roses Review will finally be available. After months of reading it. At first, I planned to write a whole series review but I’m honestly not good at these so I will review one book at a time in different posts. And as it’s already a long time since I read the book, I hope that I’ll have enough material to write something! ^^
So this first review is completely spoiler free. The two others that will follow some time after this one will logically include spoilers since these are sequels. But I’ll always include the Spoiler section in red so don’t worry!

Synopsis from Goodreads:
Feyre’s survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price …
Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre’s presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.
Review
Feyre is a 19-year-old young woman that has to take care of her family since her father isn’t capable to go hunting himself. However, our protagonist does one mistake by killing a wolf. At least she thinks that the dead wolf is a real animal. It is not. Soon after her hunt, somebody kidnaps her from her small home because she killed a faerie. So her captor brings her to his court in a magical land, where no human ever lays foot on. If you want to know what’s going to happen to Feyre … you’ll have to read the book for yourself. 😉
I heard and read mixed reviews about A court of Thorns and Roses, therefore, I was a little bit anxious starting this series. But in the end, I was completely amazed and I started to enjoy reading the first book. It kind of reminded me of Twilight (only for adults) even though there are no vampires in this series only faeries. Don’t ask me why it reminded me of Twilight. I have no idea why! It just popped into my mind when I read the book. You have also some Beauty and the Beast vibes in this book. Something I really liked about ACOTAR was that you were immediately immersed in the story. There was no moment where I was annoyed!
Honestly, I can’t even explain why I loved this book. I just do! And Sarah J.Maas is now definitely one of my favourite authors. I recommend this book to every single living thing out there. Read this book if you want! And if you don’t want to, still read this book! The pages turn from alone you don’t have to do anything I promise. You are going to have the feeling to be a part of the whole environment.
Have you read the first book in this series? Did you like it or do you still plan to read it?

Great review!
Thank you! 🙂
I loved this book when I first read it and plan to re read the whole series again in preparation for court of frost and starlight but I’m a little unsure if I’m going to feel the same way about this book having read the other two already! 😦
Same for me! I loved the series but I’m not sure if I will ever re-read it.
Im about to start this book! I love a good Beauty and the beast inspired romance and I love fairies!
I hope you end up enjoying it! 🙂
I actually read all of the books and enjoyed third last one the most. I can see how it reminded you of Twilight in a sense. I actually just finished the last two books in January. I look forward to reading more from this world.
I really liked the second one so far! The third one wasn’t bad but it definitely couldn’t dethrone ACOMAF from my favourites. Maybe this will change when more books come out in this series. I’m also looking forward to reading more from Prythian! 🙂
I am glad you could love this one even though you were anxious about it! I’m kind of currently reading this one and it is a bit of a slow start for me but I am going to keep reading and hopefully it will get a bit better as well. And then I could love it like you did!
My recent post: http://oliviascatastrophe.com/2018/02/my-true-love-nails-extravaganza/
I agree! It’s a bit slow at the beginning but it will soon get more eventful. I hope you’ll end up enjoying it! 🙂
Great review! It’s sitting on my shelf, I just gotta push myself to read it.
Thank you! 🙂 I have the same going on with Throne of Glass.
I think I am afraid of losing myself to the series.
