Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! How are you all? I hope good.

I am back with a Down the TBR post. So let’s see how I did these past few days.

The Down the TBR meme was created by Lia (Lost in a Story).

You’re probably wondering how this works but it’s actually pretty easy:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 or 10 books (or even more if you’re feeling motivated enough). And of course, if you’re doing this weekly you’ll start where you left off the week before.
  • Read the synopses of the books.
  • Decide: keep it or toss it!

And now without further ado, let’s do this!

Last time on my shelf – 1589
This time on my shelf – 1589

Yes!! For once, I didn’t add any new books!

#1 –Jane Austen, the Secret Radical by Helena Kelly – Link to Goodreads

I love Jane Austen. This means I’ll have to keep this one in this huge list!

Decision – KEEP

#2 – The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks – Link to Goodreads

It stays! I always wanted to read a book by Brent Weeks.

Decision – KEEP

#3 – The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot – Link to Goodreads

Sounds interesting and educational. Will have to give it a try.

Decision – KEEP

#4 – Bag of Bones by Stephen King – Link to Goodreads

We’re talking about King. You know my answer for this one already.

Decision – KEEP

#5 – That Thing We Call a Heart by Sheba Karim – Link to Goodreads

I can’t remember adding this one to the list, and unfortunately I never saw someone talk about it. But it does sound intriguing.

Decision – KEEP

#6 – Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery – Link to Goodreads

Always wanted to read this one. It stays!

Decision – KEEP

Unfortunately I have no interest in reading this one anymore.

#8 – Daisy in Chains by Sharon J.Bolton – Link to Goodreads

The first line of the synopsis had me intrigued. It stays on the list.

#9 – No Quarter: Dominium byM.J.L. Evans – Link to Goodreads

No interest at all. It has to go.

Decision – GO

#10 – The First Dweller by Pavel Kravchenko – Link to Goodreads

Unfortunately same reason as above.

Decision – GO

#11 – Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold by Iain Reading – Link to Goodreads

Sounds intriguing. What are you guys thinking? I think I’ll let it stay for a bit longer.

Decision – KEEP

#12 – Public Speaking for Authors, Creatives and Other Introverts by Joanna Penn – Link to Goodreads

It might be useful to read this one. So it stays.

Decision – KEEP

#13 – Moroda by L.L. McNeil – Link to Goodreads

There are dragons in it and who doesn’t love dragons?

Decision – KEEP

#14 – All the Talk is Dead by Micheal Ebner – Link to Goodreads

Unfortunately I’m not interested in it anymore.

Decision – GO

#15 – The New Bad Thing by Michael Ebner – Link to Goodreads

See above.

Decision – GO

#16 – The Dragons of Nova by Elisa Kova – Link to Goodreads

I’ve already read this one and loved it. So it has nothing to do on my TBR!

Decision – GO

#17 – The Heir by Lynne Stringer – Link to Goodreads

I’m pretty sure that I will never pick this one up. So it will have to go as well.

Decision – GO

#18 – Which is not True? by Nayden Kostov – Link to Goodreads

Why did I add this one?

Decision – GO

#19 – The Royal Treatment by M.J. Summers – Link to Goodreads

I usually love books with royals in it. I will give this one a try!

Decision – KEEP

#20 – Wicca: The Witches of New York by W.H. Benjamin – Link to Goodreads

I don’t see myself reading this one in the future.

Decision – GO

Total number of books kept – 11
Total number of books that had to go – 9
Total number on my to-read shelf – 1580

I did a pretty good job at getting rid of some books. How about you?
