Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! How are we all doing today? I hope that my European followers are safe with all the floods happening in Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg and probably even in other countries where it rained non-stop on Wednesday. It’s pretty shocking to see all the videos out there. Stay safe everyone!
I have a Tag for you today. It’s already been a long time since I’ve last done a Tag. Apparently this one should be a lot of fun. So let’s try it out.
Unfortunately, I don’t know the creator of this tag, so if you have a name, please let me know in the comments below. Thank you!

The Best Book You’ve Read This Year
I haven’t read many books this year, at least if we compare it to last year’s read books, but it’s still a though choice to make. I’m not sure if this can be more than one book, but let’s cheat a bit. Yeah, I know that’s not good, but as I’ve said it is a though choice.
#1 – A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J.Maas
#2 – Black Rose by Ethan Cross
#3 – This Is Why We Lie by Gabriella Lepore
I also had some German books that I absolutely loved, but I think that we can stop at 3 books. Otherwise, it would be a tad too much, don’t you think?
The Best Sequel You’ve Read This Year
I have to choose a book I’ve already put in the first question because oh boy I loved this sequel so much! A Court of Silver Flames has definitely been my favorite sequel so far. You can also find my review of it here.
New Releases You Haven’t Read Yet But Want To
There are way too many! Please send help because I certainly won’t be able to read all of them. Which makes me sad. The Taking Of Jake Livingston by Ryan Douglass is one of these new releases I want to read.
Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year
Why is this so difficult? There are way too many as well. However, The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang is one of my most anticipated releases. I just loved the other books in this “series”.
Biggest Disappointment
There is a German book that disappointed me a lot this year. I had high expectations of it and none of them were met. It’s “Der Neunte Arm des Oktopus” by Dirk Rossmann. For the German speakers on here, I’ve also written a review of the book.
Biggest Surprise
My biggest surprise has been a French novel. I just laughed so much with this life-style book. “Celle qui a dit Fuck” could also be amongst my yearly favorites. I still need to write a review about this one though.
Favorite New To You or Debut Author
Now that’s a though one for me as well. I don’t know who to choose. Between Kate Bromley, Serena Valentino and Gabriella Lepore it’s really though.
Newest Fictional Crush
I don’t have one. Cassian has already been my crush since last year. So he doesn’t really count as a new one? Or does he? What would you say?
Newest Favorite Character
Nesta doesn’t count, right? She has already been my favorite character since the second ACOTAR book. Kara Sullivan from Talk Bookish to me by Kate Bromley has found a new place as a favorite in my heart.
Book That Made You Cry
I’m not sure if a book made me cry this year? Okay, that’s probably a lie. The Chanel Sisters by Judithe Little made me cry a bit.
Book That Made You Happy
Books always make me happy! Unless I don’t like them, but that doesn’t happen often. I will use a joker on this one and won’t answer it.
Favorite Book To Film Adaptation
The latest adaptation from the TATBILB series is and will always be amongst my favorite adaptations. Shame to me, I still have to read the last one, but I found the movie to be well-made.
Favorite Post You Have Done This Year
I haven’t posted much this year. Oopsie? But I guess that Reading Slumps are a bookworm’s worst enemy can be counted as my favorite one.
Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought This Year
Okay, now this is a trap! It surely can’t be anything else. Right? Now all of my books will be angry because I’m only able to choose one. Reputation by Lex Croucher it is.
What Books Do You Need To Read By The End Of The Year?
Oh, my! All of my TBR has to be read, but of course I won’t be able to do so. And as a mood reader I won’t choose my books either, so we’ll see which ones will be read by the end of the year.

This post has been so much fun to write! How about you? Have you done the Tag as well? If so, what did you answer? Please let me know in the comments below.

I love the mid-year freak out tag! I’m always looking for new books to read, especially ones that will make me cry so I’ll definitely check that one out. Thanks 🙂
You’re welcome 😊 Hope you’ll end up enjoying it 🙂
